This is Mina! She is in foster with Charley & I. We’ve learnt a lot about her since we whisked her out of the kill shelter and we are looking for a special home … Pros: If you are a terrier lover then Mina is for you. She is a big character and despite it all she is loveable! She is living in a multi size large dog pack which is not ideal but she is coping with the odd grumble. She is only tiny - just 5.7 kilos. She is lapping up the fuss and will paw your hand for strokes and cover you with kisses. She is a foodie so can be trained and guided with treat rewards. She will be a loyal little soul who will love her dedicated owner. She has attached herself to me and I love her and want to get it right for her. Cons: We don’t know her history but fear she hasn’t always had it good which is why she exhibits certain behaviours. 😢 Her past shows up in that she will resource guard food - try moving her away and she’ll rag your slipper terrier style! That’s not surprising either - she probably had to fight to survive. Drop something that she wants & you better not think of trying to retrieve it. We’re looking for someone who will say “knock yourself out Mina - it’s all yours! So we are looking for the perfect home we think she deserves. A quiet home with no other dogs so she gets her owner to herself and can finally relax and live the dream. With someone who will not push her buttons (if you do she will bite) and just let her be. No kids, no cats, no dogs - just a patient loving owner who is going to give her the world and make up for the past. If we can’t find that then she stays with us. If she is homed and it doesn’t work, she comes back to me next trip. Are you that terrier understanding person who wants to commit to this troubled little dog and give her a chance? She deserves it! If you think this could be you please email homing@aadogrescue.org.uk
